About Teresa...

Teresa Schmidt has been a certified massage therapist since early 2006. She attended the Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado for her certification in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, and Neuromuscular Therapy. After graduating, she immediately started her private practice.

In order to better serve her clients, Teresa decided to continue her education by attending her alma mater’s Year II program. It refined her skills as a therapist in such modalities as joint mobilizations, advanced Myofascial release, meridian balancing, and structural integration. It was an amazing experience that elevated her understanding of the human body and how it relates in gravity. 

Teresa’s passion to help create a better world prompted her to train with Kate Jordan and learn pregnancy, labor and postpartum massage. Becoming an Infant Massage Instructor with the International Loving Touch Foundation was another way to help women and their families by creating a stronger bond using positive touch.  She has continued her training in women’s health as an apprentice of Rosita Arvigo to learn Maya Abdominal Massage.
